Enzymes For the Distiller-Turn corn into alcohol!
Corn enzymes
Corn enzymes
For those of you who have always wanted to try your hand at corn alcohol but didn't know where to start, look no further!
The enzymes we carry are designed specifically for corn. You can buy cracked corn from a farm supply store, a local farmer, an online supplier or use corn flakes from your local grocery store.

SEBAmyl GL is Kosher-certified, Halal-certified, non-synthetic and bio-degradable. Product Properties:
Working Principle:
SEBAmyl GL is an exo-alpha-amylase (or glucoamylase or amyloglucosidase) enzyme. It acts to hydrolyze the alpha-D-1,4-glycosidic bonds on the non-reducing end of liquefied starch. In addition, SEBAmyl GL has side alpha-D-1,6 glycosidic activity to increase hydrolysis of starch and amylopectin branch points. The prolonged action of SEBAmyl GL produces large amounts of glucose.
Applications & Benefits:
SEBAmyl GL is used to produce glucose from liquefied starch. It is used in the distillery and fuel- alcohol industries for saccharification, and for simultaneous saccharification and fermentation of whole-grain mashes. In the brewing industry it is used to reduce residual grain-starch dextrins in the production of low-carbohydrate beer.

Description:
SEBstar HTL is Kosher-certified, Halal-certified, non-synthetic and bio-degradable. Product Properties;
Working Principle:
SEBstar HTL is a heat-stable, liquid alpha-amylase enzyme. SEBstar HTL is an endo-amylase that
randomly hydrolyzes alpha-1,4-glycosidic bonds in gelatinized starch. The prolonged action of
SEBstar HTL rapidly reduces the viscosity of gelatinized starch and produces large amounts of lower molecular weight dextrins.
Applications & Benefits:
SEBstar HTL is used in the grain processing industry to continuously liquefy and dextrinize
gelatinized starch. Because of its heat stability, pH tolerance and low calcium requirement,
SEBstar HTL can be used to liquefy starch slurries at temperatures as high as 90oC without the addition of calcium. In the craft distilling industry it is used for high-temperature liquefaction of grain mashes (corn, wheat, barley, sorghum, rice etc.) for maximum gelatinization and liquefaction in one step.
Dosing Recommendations:
The optimum dosage of SEBstar HTL depends on:

If you want to get the most starches converted to fermentable sugars, read the following directions. Start with SEBstar HTL and use the included syringe for exact measurements.
SEBstar HTL is designed to be used in the first phase of mashing.
Add the amount of corn to water ratio you would normally. In the following example we want to yield 30 gallon of mash. To achieve that, we will begin with 100 pound of corn (room temperature). Since corn typically absorbs 1/10 gallon of water per pound of grain, we will add 40 gallon of water.
We begin with adding the water near it's boiling point if possible. We will only be adding approximately 2/3 of our 40 gallon at this time. Stir well and take a ph reading. We want 5.6-6.5. Add citric acid to adjust ph lower if needed or, add more water to raise it.
Adjust temperature between 176 and 194 degrees F. At this point, add SEBstar HTL. In this example, 36ml (.36 X 100 lb of corn).
Method :Stir. Allow to rest 4 hours.
(constant or even intermittent stirring increases starch conversion approximately 3%-5%)
After four hours, add the remaining cold water to cool mash 90 degree F.
Take another ph reading and adjust to 3.5-5.0.
Add SEBAmyl GL and add yeast.
You may find it beneficial to add yeast energizer and yeast nutrient at this time as well.
As the enzymes convert the starches to sugars, the yeast will be there to convert those sugars to alcohol.
Allow to ferment at room temperature for 80 hours before separating grain.
